The Sumas–Huntingdon crossing connects Sumas, Washington with Huntingdon in Abbotsford, British Columbia along State Route 9 and Highway 11. It serves passenger vehicles and commercial traffic along the eastern Fraser Valley corridor and is a popular alternative to the busier Blaine crossings.
Best times to cross: Weekday mornings before 8am tend to be quietest. Saturday and Sunday afternoons during summer can see significant backups.
Lane types available: Standard and NEXUS lanes available on both sides. Ready Lane accepted on the US side.
Northbound (US to Canada): SR 9 cameras at Sumas Avenue and Front Street show real-time US-side approach conditions. Southbound (Canada to US): Highway 11 cameras at Huntingdon/Sumas and Farmer Road show Canadian-side queue depth.
