The Rainbow Bridge connects Niagara Falls, New York with Niagara Falls, Ontario directly adjacent to Niagara Falls State Park. It is the most scenic of the Niagara crossings and is heavily used by tourists visiting the falls, particularly during summer and major holidays.
Best times to cross: Early mornings before 9am are typically lightest. Midday and afternoon hours during summer can see significant delays as tourist traffic peaks near the falls. Avoid Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings during peak season.
Lane types available: Standard passenger vehicle lanes on both sides. Commercial trucks are not permitted. NEXUS available.
Northbound (US to Canada): The Rainbow Bridge US side camera shows real-time queue depth at the American plaza. Southbound (Canada to US): The Rainbow Bridge Canadian side camera shows the Ontario approach to the crossing.
